RE: Digital TV/HD coming in Nov.'09-TV in RV information needed

If you view my Profile...there is a picture of the American Cruiser. I'd like to change the pic to my signature, when I remember how.

RE: Digital TV/HD coming in Nov.'09-TV in RV information needed

Thanks for the help to all. I was thinking with the TV inside the wooden frame, there is no place to place the Digital box, when it comes time to use it in Feb. '09. That's unless I get a long cable and place it ON THE DASHBOARD! MY idea :@ was that IF I could get a small flat screen TV that has 12volt/110 both, I could elminate the digital box. The digital box I am using on my "house TV" now, just to get a few more channels...is a pain. Sometimes...the channels come in...sometimes there is no signal. WITHOUT the box, I can get all the normal broadcast channels with the tower aerial. I had already purchased 2 digital boxes a while ago. Plus, with the remote that comes with the box, you cannot go to a specific channel & BACK, without going through ALL the channels, one at a time. real pain! :M :B I travel mainly to TX & back, and stay at Wally world or truck stops on the drives, where I would most likely check the news/weather when wanted. I do use 110 at the campground in TX. So, the ? would be? Are the TV's in your RV's DIGITAL, or do you have to convert somehow? I think the reason the Camping World service guy said I couldn't have an aerial put on top of the roof, is because of the way the roof is designed. In an American Cruiser, Class-B, the TV is over the dash, and the side roofs are slanted towards the center, and small. I'll make do with what I have. I will take the wooden frame off and see what the TV hook-up are like also.

RE: Refrigerator fires probably very common...

After talking about RV refrigerator's and the fires they have started, how about some "ideas" on preventing those fires? Could we "blow out the burners" with an air hose? Perhaps there are "bugs" in them, etc. Open for all sincere suggestions. Winter's coming!

combination 12 volt/110 digital TV?

Digital TV/HD coming in Nov.'09-TV in RV information needed I purchased the new Digital box for my house TV because I don't want to pay the higher cost on Cable, etc. I use it now and it gets several more channels than I do without it using my tower antenna outside. Camping World said they could not put an antenna of the roof of my American Cruiser, Class-B. The antenna I have must be built "inside the rig...somewhere!" It cannot be seen. Since the TV in the motorhome is encased within a wood frame, in the front of the RV, is there a way I can purchase a small flat screen "digital/HD" TV and install in its place. My assumption is that the "flat screen/digital/HD TV" would ONLY be 110, and not 12 volt also. Have you heard of a :@ travelgirl
